Introducing the LHN Members Handbook
As Lighthouse Homeschool Network continues to grow, one question naturally comes up:
“Where can I find the official information about LHN?”
Whether it’s about membership, events, community expectations, leadership, or simply how things work, we wanted every family to have one trusted place to find answers.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce the LHN Members Handbook.
Why We Created It
The handbook wasn’t written to add more rules or requirements.
It was created to make community life easier.
Instead of relying on word of mouth or searching through old conversations, every LHN family can now refer to one clear, organized, and up-to-date resource.
As our community grows, having a shared reference helps all of us stay informed, connected, and moving in the same direction.
What’s Inside?
The handbook covers topics such as:
- Welcome to Lighthouse Homeschool Network
- Our Story and Heritage
- Identity, Mission, and Purpose
- Statement of Faith
- Membership
- Community Values and Code of Conduct
- Parents’ Responsibilities
- Student Expectations
- Safety and Child Protection
- Activities, Events, and Programs
- Communication Guidelines
- Governance and Organizational Structure
- Officers and Their Functions
- Conflict Resolution
- Media, Privacy, and Representation
- Financial Stewardship
- Member Commitment
- LHN By-Laws
- Helpful Appendices and Reference Materials
Whether you’re a new member or have been with LHN for years, we hope this handbook becomes your first stop whenever you have questions about our community.
A Living Handbook
LHN continues to grow, and so will this handbook.
From time to time, new programs, resources, and improvements may be added. The handbook will be updated as needed to ensure it continues to serve our families well and accurately reflects the current direction of our community.
Our Hope
More than simply sharing policies and information, our hope is that this handbook strengthens our community by promoting clarity, unity, and a shared understanding of who we are and where we’re going together.
“Let all things be done decently and in order.”
β 1 Corinthians 14:40
