Educational Tour at Honea Bea Farm Batch 1
On the morning of September 12, 2025, around 30 LHN Homeschoolers visited Honea Bee Farm.
HONEA Bee Farm is named after the owners’ daughter, Nea Deborah. Nea’s parents, Alex and Sheila Dela Cuesta , found out that Deborah in Hebrew means “bee”, thus they decided to celebrate Nea’s 1st birthday with the theme of bee. Long story short, that was the start of their interest in bees. And now they run a bee farm, bzzzz!
Here are some facts we learned about bees:
- Wasps, are often mistaken for Honeybees but they are not.
- Bees have 6 legs and 4 wings, which means that Jolli “bee” is actually not a bee.
We had a bzzzeuatiful time tasting honey from Honea Bee Farm. Oh! By the way, since our homeschooling community is growing, 5 batches need to be scheduled until October. Join us next time for our next LHN field trip!
